Murphy Battista LLP prides itself on an approach focused on total client care for every person that comes through our doors. Our call to action, “Get your life back” is the core of our philosophy. As such, we have made it a point to support organizations that provide unique and much needed resources to our clients and their families, particularly those clients facing recovery from challenging injuries. One such organization is Spinal Cord Injury BC (SCI BC).
SCI BC’s call to action: “Adjust, adapt and thrive” is very much in keeping with our goals for our clients and we have been long time supporters of the work that SCI BC does across British Columbia. That work includes front line support to victims of spinal cord injuries and their families during the acute recovery phase and beyond. SCI BC’s Peer Program Manager, Fernando Romero along with Peer Support Specialists and Peer Program Coordinators are the first people clients see at the hospital and they continue to provide the ongoing support needed during a hospital stay through to when clients have made it far enough along in the recovery process to return to their homes.
We admire what they do and their desire to help in every way possible is exactly the kind of determination that our firm seeks to support. So, recently we decided it was time to up our game and we are delighted to announce that Murphy Battista LLP has formed a new relationship with SCI BC as a sponsor of SCI BC’s Peer Family Support Program.
The Peer Family Support Program is the component of SCI BC’s overall Peer Support Program that establishes initial contact with SCI victims and assists them (and their families) to understand their injuries, the challenges they will face and how they can get back out and engaged in the community with a view to living enjoyable, productive lives after their injuries.
